I have enjoyed millions of hands of blackjack. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have gambled on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of cash at 21. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the idea that 21 seems to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original sum.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a number of years back with $750 after 60 minutes using this method! And a couple of days ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can relinquish a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the runs you see gamble this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 game.
Bet 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial five dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the initial $10 bet
Bet 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the original 20 dollar wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar bet
Bet 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first $160 bet
If you departed at this point you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
