I have bet on millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have bet on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent a lot of bankroll at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it very hard to beat the house.

I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have gambled on a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get flush with this method or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This method is based on the idea that 21 seems to be a match of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!

I gamble with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original value.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this method! And a few weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!

You need to comprehend that you can give away much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.

Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial five dollar wager

Bet $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar

Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original $10 bet

Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet

Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar

Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original $40 wager

Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80

Bet 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager

Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $160 bet

If you left at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!

It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
