I have played countless of hands of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have wagered on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost an abundance of funds at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the game.

I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is founded on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original sum.

I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very exciting at times. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Wynn a few years ago with $750 after 20 minutes using this technique! And a few months ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can squander a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness gamble this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.

Wager $5
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first $5 wager

Wager 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10

Bet 10 dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet

Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager

Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar

Bet $40
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first $40 wager

Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar

Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar bet

Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet

If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!

It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
