I have played countless of rounds of 21. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost an abundance of bankroll at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or beat the house, nonetheless you will have an abundance of fun. This method is based on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a game of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy 21. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the bet back down to the original bet.

I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a couple of years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!

You need to understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you see wagering this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Wager $5
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original five dollar bet

Wager $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Bet $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet

Bet ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20

Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager

Wager 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Bet forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $40 bet

Bet forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar

Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the original 80 dollar bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the original one hundred and 60 dollar wager

If you departed at this instance you would be up $315 !!

It’s iffy to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
