black jack is a game that brings to mind an image of a roller coaster. It’s a game that begins slowly, but gradually picks up the pace. As you slowly build up your profit, you feel like you are getting to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom falls out.
Blackjack is so much like a roller coaster the similarities are eerie. As is the case with the popular amusement ride, your black jack game will peak and things will seem as though they are going well for a time before it bottoms out once again. Of course you have to be a bettor who’s able to adjust well to the ups … downs of the game mainly because the game of black jack is awash with them.
If you like the tiny coaster, a coaster that will not go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way that you can enjoy the ride is with a much bigger wager, then hop on for the ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big money player will love the view from the monster roller coaster because he/she is not thinking about the drop as they rush head first to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that is terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to twist and turn, you had better escape in a hurry.
If you do not, you will not recount how much you enjoyed the good life while your profit was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a great ride … your head in the sky. As you are remembering "what ifs", you won’t clearly recall how "high up" you went but you will remember that disappointing fall as clear as day.
