The main premise of the game is to be handed cards totaling up to 21. Each black jack player is assigned two cards. When a gambler is handed a nine or lower value card and an Ace they have been dealt a soft hand. When the blackjack player is dealt no Ace it is called as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been given to all players at the table, which includes the dealer, every blackjack player is provided the opportunity to make 1 of 6 choices:

Requesting another card (Hit): When a black jack player announces hit me the croupier will give them another card, if the adding of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the gambler will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the total to 21 the gambler will be the winner and if the total has not yet reached twenty-one they’re still in the game.

Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is satisfied with the cards they will stand. Once this has happened the croupier will disclose their hand and the player who has accumulated twenty one or the closet to 21 will come away with a win.

Doubling Down: A gambler might request to double down which doubles the bet they have placed. As soon as you’ve taken this action you can only receive one more card. The details of doubling down are usually specified by the table or betting house game rules so prior to wagering make certain you are at ease with the casino rules. If you are gambling at an internet betting house this is usually very easy.
